Baby Robins in Our Tree

We’ve got babies living in our tree in the front yard. They are the sweetest little things you ever did see. They sit in their nest with their mouths wide open, waiting for mama to bring them a worm.

The mama robin rules the roost in my yard. When we step out the front door she flies all over tweeting as if she were telling us to stay out of her way. Back and forth she flies feeding her babies, all three of them.

Our formal living room is really our family TV room. We just don’t do the formal living room things in our house. So we can actually sit in our recliners and watch the babies tweet tweet tweet to their heart’s contentment. The mama robin, well.. she’s all over the place trying to provide for her babies. It will be neat to see how long they live there and when the babies will start to fly. I will see if I can keep up with them.

I can’t believe summer is almost over. Fiona will start Kindergarten on August 17th. It feels like yesterday when I was going school clothes shopping with Lauren for Kindergarten. Fiona is going to love school. She will pick up everything pretty fast too. She is ready.

Kinsley is enjoying her swim lessons. I try to stay away from the pool area because I think it really holds the little ones back when Moms stick around. I watched one of the Moms the other day hang out and her little girl could not take her eyes off her Mother. I’m sure it must have been hard for the teacher to implement the swim lesson. I will keep Kinsley in swim lessons as long as they have them and we can keep her signed up. She’s in the Preschool Level 1 right now. We’ll get her ready for the Preschool Level 2 and we’ll just keep going through the winter while Fiona is in school.

Lauren is doing good getting ready for college. She is counting down the days until she moves into the dorms here in town. She’s made an appointment to see her adviser and will have her schedule very soon. It’s interesting that she already knows that she is going to rush but doesn’t have her class schedule yet. I suppose those are the priorities of a young person looking to be social in college. I have high hopes and dreams for her.

You know I’m going to talk about the gym. Well, it’s going good. I’m really starting to enjoy my workouts even when they are hard. I’m getting better on the treadmill, can run longer, and have implemented the use of the incline. Squats are kicking my butt but that’s ok. I can tell they are working. It feels like my butt and legs are trying to do something. Lunges are making my knees stronger.

I am down five pounds from 190 – 185. That’s not bad considering I thought I was going up to 200. One of these days I’ll have to pull out the measuring tape and see how the inches are doing. Hopefully they are flying right off. I’ll know for sure when my current outfits start fitting loose on me.

Please leave a comment and let me know you are reading and what you are up to. Check out some of the other blogs I have listed in my sidebar. See if you know anybody. Ok, that’s all for now. The Mail-Lady just came so I need to get out there and check the mail. Until Next Time…

Hi Angela! I can’t help it…the baby robins are…tweeting? How do they work the little keyboards without any fingers? OK, lame, I know, but it’s genetic. Just wanted to let you know I linked to your blog. After reading this post, I also must congratulate you on your childrens’ successes. Jim

Thanks Jim! You know.. I’ve always adored that nuttiness about you. BTW, do you Tweet?
