Here’s one of my questions:
How on Earth is it possible for any Christian to have voted for Barack Obama?
I have to wonder because most believers (one would assume) should know better? At some point in our walk with Christ there comes a moment where the light bulb turns on and you finally “get it.” It’s that moment when you realize that you are sitting on the fence and there comes a time when you have to pick a side. Believe it or not, when your sitting on the fence in order to come down off that fence you have to pick a side or wind up being stuck on the fence forever.. right?
As a Christian or Christ follower… isn’t Jesus supposed to be your best friend? Is this how you treat your close friends? I can’t help but wonder what Christ thinks of us and the decisions that we make?
I have been having a hard time thinking about “Christ Followers” … “Bible Believing Christians” … “Catholics and Protestants” alike … having voted for Barack Obama knowing everything that this man stands for. And if they didn’t know before what this man stands for how can you vote for somebody without first doing your homework? I just don’t get it?
Let me share a snippet of a newsletter I got today:
Just take a look at these three major anti-life initiatives that were all announced on Friday afternoons this year:
1.) Mexico City Policy Repeal- On Friday, January 23rd, President Obama signed an order overturning the pro-life Mexico City Policy. This decision was announced only two days after thousands converged on Washington for the annual March for Life. Obama’s reversal of the pro-life Mexico City Policy allows millions of your taxpayer dollars to fund international abortion providers like Planned Parenthood.
2.) Rollback of Conscience Protections for Medical Professionals- On Friday, February 27th, the Obama Administration announced its intention to undo important conscience protection rules for doctors, nurses and other medical providers. Now health care workers who choose to follow their conscience and refuse to participate in abortion procedures will have little recourse if they are discriminated against by their employer.
3) Embryonic Stem Cell Executive Order- On Friday March 6th, President Obama announced he was going to sign an executive order allowing for taxpayer funding for human embryonic stem cell research, despite the fact that this type of research has shown no signs of success. He also completely reversed previous policy directing federal dollars toward ethical stem cell research that does not destroy innocent human life.
Why have all these things been announced on Friday afternoons? Because the Obama Administration is hoping no one will really pay attention as people head out to start their weekends.
If you are a Christ follower and you believe everything that is in the Bible to be God’s Truth… can you please explain to me why you voted for Barack Obama knowing what you know about the policies and procedures that he is putting in place for our country? It’s not as if we didn’t know what his agenda would be. It’s not as if this would come as a surprise to fairly intelligent human beings. Deep down I believe lots of people out there are familiar with all of these things but they refuse to go there. They want to call it something else… kinda like Barack Obama saying we are not supposed to call Terrorists what they are any more: TERRORISTS.
By all means… if you don’t want to “out” yourself then leave a comment anonymously and link back to this blog. I really want to hear from you. I know you exist because I see you on Facebook, I’ve seen you on Myspace, you’ve admitted to the world how you feel about Barack Obama… so please tell me what your reasons were for voting for this Anti-Christ, Anti-Life, Hard Core Extreme Liberal into our White House. I really would like to know.
There is one thing that I ask and that is DO NOT tell me it was because of George Bush because George Bush was not a candidate for this election. I want to hear about what you believe to be true about Barack Obama and then I want you to tell me what you know about these Anti-Life measures. Please let’s stick to the sharing of facts and not dwell on “feelings.”

I’m waiting for you to Fess Up all you Christians out there because it makes me believe even more that there are Christians out there in name only… sitting on the fence… afraid to pick a side OR are blinded by what’s truly going on in front of them.

That is a great post. I too can’t comprehend how people voted for Obama.. but not all “Christians” actually are Christians… the parable of the sower makes it pretty clear that only about 25% of those who hear the gospel will actually obtain salvation. Jesus tells us that not all who call him Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven. There are a lot of hypocrites out there and on the day of judgment they will be told “depart from me” It is sad. People don’t want to take the entire Bible into consideration – they pick and choose, but in that process they stop believing in the Jehovah God of the Bible and they start breaking the second commandment and creating their own god to suit their needs – they create in their minds what makes them feel comfortable.

Morning Mam,
I too was surprised that some of my friends voted for BO. (I am bi-friendly) And on questioning them about it I found that they were voting the hype, and did not investigate/understand the real man behind it. I put it down to ignorance and stupidity. Pity that, they have put us and US in a world of hurt. Pray for us/US.

Did You Pray?
Barrack Obama doesn’t care about prayer in this country. It’s more important for him to get a good shot of Air Force One flying over Manhattan then it is for him to do something nice for our National Day of Prayer.
It costs nothing to pray.
