This picture was taken on the day that Lauren went to homecoming. She went with Taylor, her boyfriend of four months. I know that they’ve been together for 4 months because every month that goes by she reminds me that they have a one month anniversary coming up. This week was their one month anniversary but I don’t remember exactly which day that was.
Lauren got a letter in the mail today. She was so excited when she opened it. I was excited for her. It said… Welcome to the University of Nebraska at Omaha! I am pleased to inform you of your admission to the university.
Now how AWESOME is That?
The cool part about this entire process is that she’s been accepted, she knows it and she’s not even finished with high school yet. She’s taken the ACT three times and is due to take it again in December. She’s at the top of her class out about 450 students and only needs to maintain or improve her GPA between now and the end of the school year.
A couple of weeks ago we went and had her senior portraits done. Speaking of which, I need to go and pick up the proof book and bring that home so we can check out all the pictures. Her senior cheer pictures have been taken and her graduation cap and gown ordered, along with commencement announcements.
Where has the year gone? Where have the last 17 years of her young life gone?
