You see that food on her plate? She wouldn’t eat any of it. I had cooked a nice chicken, potatoes, and carrots. She was not having any of it. Not even w/it lightly salted. When I stepped away from the kitchen for just a second she decided she was going to try and convince me that she had eaten some of her food because some was better than none. She said, “See Mom? I had some dinner… Look!” As if pushing her food clear to to the side of her plate would make it seem like she had eaten some of it. You know I had to grab my camera and snap one for you.
I think Kinsley was just having a bad day overall. When we went to pick up Fiona from school we got to walk to and from. It was a beautiful afternoon and I wanted them to have a chance to play at the park by our house before winter actually hits us. On the way home I have no idea what possessed Kinsley to do this but she touched fresh poop! You know, the kind that a dog not too far off in the distance put on the ground? You could tell it was fresh because you could smell it. Not only did she step in it but she investigated by touching it with her finger and smelling it! Ack!
I seriously need to proof the house and give it a once over. I can’t leave her alone not even for one minute. Before I knew it she had taken her plate of food when she realized I wasn’t convinced that she had eaten “some” of it… well… she decided to put her plate of food on the couch in the family room. She threw Fiona’s jacket over it to make sure I wouldn’t see what she had done. Perhaps now I would believe that she ate her food. Geez Louise! There was food all over my couch. Ugh!
Thank goodness that there was a piece of paper on the coffee table. She had wormed her way into the latched cabinet, confiscated the glue bottle and decided to cover the entire piece of paper with as much glue as she could squeeze out of the bottle. I was mortified. I was thankful for the fact that it was on a piece of paper on the coffee table and Not on the carpet in the family room. How on earth would I have removed THAT from the carpet? Hello!? More and more I am seriously thinking that the carpet on the main floor has to go. I wonder how much it would cost to have somebody throw down some hard wood flooring… you know… the 3 inch planks?
